The 1995-96 Lancer team was a talented
group of wrestlers. This team finished the year with an
excellent 12-3 record. They won the Flagship Tournament,
Seneca Valley Tournament, the AAA Section Tournament and
placed second at the District 10 Tournament. They also advanced
an incredible 7 wrestlers to the Regional Tournament.
Sam Glossner and Jamie Keeney won Section
and D-10 Crowns. Glossner placed 3rd at Regionals and went
2-2 at the PIAA State Tourney. Glossner may have done even
better had he not been so unfortunate as to have Jeremy
Hunter, one of Pennsylvania's all-time greats, in his weight
class. Hunter knew Glosser was at the tournament however,
and had several stitches to prove it.
Three Lancers were named to the ECL All-County
Squad: Sam Glossner, Chad DeForce and Carl Patterson. Coach
Mullholland was named the Section and District 10 Coach
of the Year.
This team was ready to blossom into the
1996-97 unbeaten Lancer County Champions.
