Remain Unbeaten By Beating McDowell
The
GM JV team added another win to their tally Wednesday by
beating McDowell 15-6. Dusty McCord and Denton Sauers both
had falls for the Lancers. McCord pinned Mark Trapp in 52
seconds. Kenzie Leehan pulled out a 10-6 decison in his
bout against Chris Fritz.
Denton
Sauers ran his JV record to 20-0 with 18 falls by pinning
his opponent in 1:07.

Place 1st At Corry JV Tournament
Four
GM wrestlers took top honors at the Corry JV tournament
on Staurday, January, 11. Ashton Osterberg won the 103 lbs.
weight class by going 2-0. Don Osinski ran his JV record
to 18-0, by winning all 3 of his matches, two by fall. He
has pinned 14 of his opponents this year.
Denton
Sauers won the 160 lbs. weight class by going 3-0 and pinning
all three of his foes. Sauers' JV record is now 19-0 with
17 falls. Andy Wilson placed 1st at 189 lbs. Wilson also
wrestled in the 215 lbs. class where he placed 3rd.
Kenzie
Leehan went 3-1 in the tournament and placed 3rd. Phil Williams
was 4th. JC Wentz didn't place but went 2-2.

JV Lancers
Win Maplewood Christmas Tournament
The
GM JV wrestlers won the Maplewood Christmas tournament on
Friday, December 27th.
Donald
Osinski won the 125 lbs. weight class and was named
Outstanding Wrestler. Paul Hayes (152), Ashton
Osterberg (103) and Denton Sauers also placed
first in the tournament.
Other
GM placewinners were Steve Gdanetz (2nd), Kyle
Goss (3rd), Brian Clark (3rd) and Tim Stearns
(4th). Kyle Goss won an award for the tournament's fastest
fall, by decking one of his opponents in 24 seconds.
Six
Jr. High wrestlers also placed in the tournament. Keith
Scharrer and Mike McCauley both won their weight
classes. Clay Steadman placed 3rd. Greg Evanoff,
Ethan Polaski and Ryan Birchard were 4th.
