Joe Wheeling. 2010-2014.

Joe Wheeling wrestled for GM from 2010 to 2014. During the 2010-11 season Joe set a record for most wins in a season by a freshman (35). He was a District 10 runnerup, placed 3rd at the NW Regional Tournament and qualified for the state tourney. He was just the 3rd GM freshman to qualify for the PIAA tournament.

Joe was plagued by injuries his sophomore season, but still placed 2nd at Tool City, 1st at Fred Bell and 2nd at the District 10 AAA Tournament. He went 3-2 at regionals and just missed qualifying for the state tournament.

His junior year, Wheeling took 1st at the King of the Mountain and Fred Bell Tournaments, and 2nd at Tool City. He also won District 10 and NW Regional AAA titles, qualifying for the state tournament a 2nd time. Joe won his first match in Hershey, but then suffered 2 straight losses.

As a senior, Wheeling won titles at the King of the Mountain, Tool City and Fred Bell Tournaments. He also won District 10 and NW Regional Tournament titles. Joe's made his last trip to Hershey historic, when he became the first Mclane wrestler in 27 years to make PIAA AAA Tournament finals and placed 2nd at 113 lbs.

Joe racked up an incredible, 132-21 won/loss record during his career.

Joe will be attending West Virginia University.
